Madison Area Interpreters and Translators is an informal group of professionals and students living and working in the Madison, WI, area. We have no affiliation with any professional, political, or religious body and no formal structure. Our sole purpose is to share our experiences, exchange thoughts and ideas, seek advice, keep each other abreast of events and educational opportunities - in other words, talk shop and shoot the breeze. We have a FB page ( and a mailing list where attendees can post information on professional events or opportunities in the Madison area.

Our next meeting will be focused on translation topics. It will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 6:30 pm. at the Panera in the FedEx mall, corner of West Washington and Regent. Any translator or interpreter or T/I student is welcome to attend. If you don't live in the Madison area, but happen to be passing through, you are more than welcome to join us as well. You can find us by following the laughter, or look for the UN symbol on our table.
