MATI, like the ATA, is a volunteer-driven association and the strength behind many of our programs and events comes from member participation. MATI encourages members to get involved, give back to the Association, work with fellow members, and broaden their professional network by chairing a committee or becoming a committee member. Committee Chairs shall be appointed by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. To volunteer for a Committee or for more information contact the Board of Directors at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The MATI Bylaws designate the following standing committees: Membership, Communications, and Programs. The purpose of each standing committee is outlined in the Association’s Bylaws. Other committees, whether standing or ad hoc, may be formed at the discretion of the Board of Directors, and both standing and ad hoc committees are outlined below.
Per Article 10, Section 10.1.1, “The Membership Committee shall be responsible for accepting applications for membership, for keeping updated records of members, and for overseeing the rights and responsibilities of members.”

According to Article 10, Section 10.1.3, “The Programs Committee shall be responsible for planning the annual meeting and selecting its location, as well as for planning and coordinating the conferences, training and professional development activities of the Association.
